Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will launch on Thursday, November 19, 2026.
The date was announced on November 6, 2025, via the official Rockstar Newswire. The original release window had been 2025, so this pushes things back roughly a year. Rockstar's explanation is straightforward: the extra time is needed to finish the game at the level of polish players expect.
That is about as honest as a delay announcement gets. No vague "we need more time to realise our vision" language — just an acknowledgement that the wait has been long and an apology for stretching it further.
What they did confirm, if you needed a reminder of what is actually coming: the sprawling state of Leonida, and a return to modern-day Vice City. That lines up with everything shown in Trailer 1 and Trailer 2, both of which are live on the Rockstar site if you want to go back and look.
November 19, 2026. Mark it down.
