There's a storm drain somewhere in GTA 6's map that talks to you — and most players are going to miss it completely.
The September 2022 development build leak, catalogued by the GTA community over at GTABase, lists "Voice in a storm drain" as one of the game's dynamic world events. The listing even tosses in a parenthetical that stops you cold: (Pennywise reference?). That one question mark does a lot of work.
Dynamic events in GTA 6 aren't marked on your minimap by default. You stumble into them, or you don't. The storm drain event almost certainly falls into that unmarked category — something Rockstar plants in a specific location, timed or triggered, waiting for a player who actually explores instead of sprinting to the next objective.
The leak doesn't pin a single GPS coordinate. What it does confirm is that the event exists as a distinct, named entry alongside 30-plus other dynamic world moments, which means it has scripted content. Audio. A payoff. You walk past the right concrete culvert at the right moment and something down there speaks.
Most people will never hear it.
The Pennywise framing is pure community speculation based on that one leaked label — don't treat it as confirmed. But the design logic tracks: Rockstar has buried horror-adjacent easter eggs in every major GTA since Vice City, and a disembodied voice from underground is exactly the kind of low-budget nightmare fuel they love. It costs nothing to place. It pays off enormously for the player who finds it.
Worth noting — this comes from an early build, two-plus years before release. The event could be renamed, relocated, or cut entirely by the time GTA 6 ships on November 19th. But event entries at this stage of development usually survive in some form. The bones are real.
Keep your eyes on drainage infrastructure when you're exploring. Canals, culverts, storm grates, anything that runs underground through a populated area. If this event fires, it's going to be quiet, brief, and deeply weird — exactly the kind of 4-second moment you replay in your head for an hour afterward.
That's the whole point of finding it.
